    I was playing some SF recently and it made me remember this game. And as ive been trying to go through my old vhs tapes and cleaning things out heres some more scraps...





    Shows some other bugs in the game I didnt post here...


    Note that a3 can only combo a1 characters after throws not a2. Also you can not alternate guard a3 throws only a1 and a2. A3 becomes invincible during many situations so showing some guard crush stuff with it. They become invincible period while using that proximity blocking bugish thing as well but I didnt have anything on tape.

    I remember there being some bugs with shadows, and a bug with the seekrit grooves that you could take away there meter some how. But its not on tape, and I forgot how to do it lol. Theres also a bug with auto mode, where when they get hit, it starts taking away there block meter when.. well they shouldnt be able to block in the first place. But again I dont remember how to do it and not on tape lol.

    And the ryu combo vs geif is that one thing I was talking about. You can override a1-a2 abilities with certain.. things to say I guess? Even though normally they shouldnt be able to be juggled by anyone a3 only can juggle them.




    And since im posting again... I guess other changes..

    A1 adons rush super has less priority or smaller hit box something to that existent in hyper.

    A2 adon rush super has better priority or hit box whatever you want to call it.

    And I dunno if its true in other games, but shin akuma is smaller then other shotos. And many combos do not work on him.

    It would appear that you actaully can get diff versions of characters in hyper alpha. I have seen different versions of alpha 1 akuma in hyper. Maybe there is way to get other versions of characters too?



    Also dunno if its a bug in other games. But apparently if you tick with the same button you press to throw it will keep the stun. Say.. Pick birdie.. You do stand lk, to 360+hk. Stun will not say.... Cross up fierce or something 360+lk whatever.. Stun will not stay.. BUT if you something like stand lk, 360+lk. The stun will never go down then. And just continue untill they get dizzy. Only seems to work with on a3 type characters though.... Also strangely sodoms scrape does it automatically if a1.



    Again not sure if this was in the orginal games or not.


    I also made a video showing a few changes from a1 to hyper a1. *dead silence once again*

    Yeah, you should be able to select which arcade revision you could play as. Can't remember how to get to the menu, my book is in a box somewhere, but I remember the second revision of Alpha 2 was supposed to be the one to use.
    The game automatically defaults to the last revision of the game.

    That's the way it is with SFA3, there's a preset you can choose to set it to the arcade settings.

    Except that after choosing the preset there is one star/switch that you have to flip manually. That may also be the case for SFA2, but I don't know.

    Random note since ive actaully have been playing A1 on ggpo randomly on and off for the past couple months. So for that one japanese site I posted that had all the differences. Heres a couple others that they dont have listed....


    - Birdie can no longer be comboed after alpha counters. Just doesnt work period in the game anymore. Or in hyper alpha.

    -Charlies charges are fucked up. You cant combo to flash kick in the same situations you can in arcade. As flash kick for some reason has to be charged longer then sonic boom in it. And thats if it works. Many cross up combos you cant get any special period for some reason. Again doesnt work like that in the arcade. I guess obvious examples would be just jumping in duck p, stand mp/mk flash kick. Doesnt work. Fuck even trying to get a duck mp after it is hard. You have to delay it as long as possible. Same for cross up. Unless you hit as deep as possible and then delay as long as possible you cant flash kick. Whats stranger is for some reason you can sonic boom though in many of these instances. But if you try to flash kick. The game wont give you anything. But maybe that goes along with the game being wierd for ps2, as of course akumas demon flip is like.. almost impossible in the ps2 version for some reason...


    On one random note I think I wrote that I was wrong about. For hyper alpha specifically I think I commented before that it was weird that for some reason dan has his yuri win pose in hyper alpha for a1 dan. When I assumed it was only in a2. Well ive actaully seen it before now in a1. I assumed it was cuz I got some double perfects. But when ive tried to just recreate it intentionally. I was not able to. Whatever the case I guess that pose is actaully in the original game. How its done though. I have no idea.

    About SFA2 in anthology,i wondered about the 2 versions of the game in secret options,i mean there's the official version 96/03/06
    But what is the other version proposed?i always thought there were 2 versions of the game,(96/02/28 and 96/03/06),but the date seems different for the anthology version like later in 1996.
    According to the switch stars,some known difference between the 2 versions is rolento stand fierce doing weak hitsun animation or not,adon punch alpha counter being partly blockable or not....

    ^what this guy said. Also some Q's of my own:

    1) Exactly how many different versions/revisions of the Arcade A2 are there?

    2) Which is more commonly preferred (and why, if you're not too lazy to go into detail, thanks)?

    3) How many versions are available to toggle through on the PS2 A2? And is the default setting its own original version set apart from any of the Arcade revisions?

    4) Which option(s) and dipswitch settings will provide the most accurate emulation of the more preferred Arcade A2 revision?
